Strengths
I'm good at sticking to one idea once I have it and when I have it I write it down immediately so I don't forget it and then keep coming up with other ideas once I have at least one and can keep adding to it.
Weaknesses
I can get easily distracted which is bad because it makes work hard to do especially in distracting environments which makes me have to do the work at home but sometimes I get distracted there too. My time management is also really bad
Opportunities
I can get feedback during my production and not just at the end which will be extremely helpful to keep me on the right tracks.
Threats
Other people not being reliable when filming. The weather can also be a threat because it is unpredictable.
What is Change?
The word "change" can mean so many things, ranging from change in weather, change in attitude, change in clothes/style it can even be used to describe the term for pennies also known as "loose change." Our final projects theme is "change" which gives me quite a few ideas to start off with so I think that there're many possibilities for my idea and a good one will stick out eventually. I plan to make a short film or music video that has something to do with the word "change"
Mind Map (my old idea)
This is a mind map about some ideas that I could implement into my project. Later on with discussions and feedback I decided that I would not be doing this type of film as it would be too overcomplicated and might be hard to illustrate properly. Some things I might keep the same like the colour theme as I want my project to not be a happy one.
Idea one
Two people in a relationship but the relationship is falling apart and cant be fixed.
Idea two
music video for abuse and how it changed someone and how they cope and what they feel at all times.
Idea three
Short film, how Alcohol can change someone and effect their daily life. It starts off with being very stressed out when being young and always aiming to be the best at everything but then it gets too much.
New idea concept I'm going for
A new idea that I'm going to go for is a person wakes up in the middle of nowhere with no memory of anything, but only photos of different locations to lead her to the last place on the photos. The change in this story is that there is no change in the cycle and it just repeats over and over or it could be change in memory as it falters. Why I'm choosing this idea out of the rest of them is because I think that this will be more easy to portray and I would have a lot of fun filming it.
Memory loss
Memory loss also known as amnesia is where a person may not be able to remember new events, recall any memories that they have from the past or in worst case scenario it can be both. The memory loss may only be there for a short period of time and then resolve itself. Or it might never go away. In can get worse and worse over time for some people depending on the cause. I will incorporate this in my short film someway and research this subject deeper.
Retrograde Amnesia
I've researched amnesia some more and I have realised that there're more than just one type of amnesia. When I realised this it amused me that there were just more than one type of amnesia so after looking through some of them I found this one 'Retrograde Amnesia' and it's where you can't recall memories that were formed before the event that caused the amnesia. What it usually affects is recently stored memories so the memories that you have years ago are still there. I want to incorporate this type of amnesia into my short film because it will fit my character and her story.

In this scene we have a women in a close up shot looking up what appears to be her husband and what I like about these two scenes is that they're both the same shot one for the beginning for the film and one for the end. What I'd like to take away from these scenes is to use them in mine for the beginning and the end but structure/shoot them in a different way.

In this scene we have a guy called Leonard and he is in a motel room and has shots of him looking around the hotel room trying to recollect his memory of how he got there and why he's there. What I like about this scene is that he has a voiceover of him talking in his mind about where he is instead of him actually talking this really shows the confusion that his condition has caused him and I would like to take this part and implement it in during my film. He also has photos that he uses to recollect memories which is what I also want to use.

In this scene we start of with one of the characters called Aria finding an earing in her locker in an envelope. Now this triggers her to have a flashback with her and her presumed dead friend Alison in her dads office where they find the earing on the couch. What I like about this scene is that the colours in the flashback are slightly warmer than the one of the girls in present time to signify that it's a flashback. What I also like about this scene is that a specific item brought on the flashback, I will take this and incorporate it into my project but tweak it a bit so its different and that it fits my theme as I want mine to be a location where the main character walks upon and sees something there that just triggers the flashback like Aria in this scene.

Target Audience
My target audience for my final project is going to be aimed at mid teens to young adults which is around the ages 16-25. The main reason for this is because my main character is around the same age group so perhaps the audience can relate to them in some way. Mine is a thriller and thrillers are for thrill seekers but they can also be for people who don't like scary things but they watch them anyway because it interests them. My project might also interest some older people as its about memory loss so they could have someone close to them or even themselves have experienced it.
